Mo Spring is located at the northeast corner of the Baimai Spring Park in Zhangqiu. "Mo" in Chinese means "black ink." Since the well of this spring is deep, displaying the color of the surface water as deep as ink, hence the name. Another story about the name of the spring is that Shu Tong, a contemporary calligrapher, used to live by this spring and used to frequently wash his brushes and inkstone in this spring. Tunisia
The water of Mo Spring gushes from a cleavage of the lime rock of the Ordovician period. The water spurts from a hole with a diameter of 0.4 meter, and flows to a square-shaped spring pool surrounded by white marble rails. At the front and back of the pool, the name "Mo Quan" (Mo Spring) was inscribed by Mr. Shu Tong.
